WHO WE ARE
The mission and duty of S.U.N. is to provide aid and support to women, men, and children who are victims of domestic violence and abuse. The goal is to end the cycle of violence by ensuring that parents and children can prosper with a healthy mental outlook and non-violent actions, promoting a healthy environment for future generations. S.U.N. is an organization brought together by professionals who were once victims of domestic violence. S.U.N. members are passionate about helping others break through from violence to healing and living to their full potential.
“Nearly 3 in 10 women (29%) and 1 in 10 men (10%) in the US have experienced rape, physical violence and/or stalking by a partner and report a related impact on their functioning.” -NDVH

“Has he(she) ever trapped you in a room and not let you out?
Has he(she) ever raised a fist as if he were going to hit you?
Has he(she) ever thrown an object that hit you or nearly did?
Has he(she) ever held you down or grabbed you to restrain you?
Has he(she) ever shoved, poked, or grabbed you?
Has he(she) ever threatened to hurt you?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then we can stop wondering whether he’ll(she’ll) ever be violent; he(she) already has been.”
